OLD:
User's own preferences like interface language, value format and others were available using the gear icon.
NEW:
In the new user interface user preferences can be adjusted in the panel which opens on the right after clicking settings icon in the menu bar. Settings panel is closed either by pressing the x or clicking outside of panel.
